The definition of a brand is a set of expectations, stories and relationships where the consumer chooses one company over another.

A personal brand looks at the whole person. Who you are, not what you do.  We put on the hat that says I’m an expert here, at home expert here, in the community expert here. We wear too many hats, i.e. home, business, family etc.  

We are the same person inside. If we can translate all parts of who we are to all parts of your life then we will better connect with others.

What is the common thread in your life, no matter where you are? Who am I?

Uncover the personal brand that you are… key word or attitude, what people recognize about you.

A brand give you the foundation to talk about your hardships, your struggles and experiences, to make an impact in others’ lives.

It’s about making the emotional connection with others by saying I’m more like you than not like you.

When you find your core word, such as connector-use it in your brand

How do a brand and logo relate–marketing angle. Brand is plan from your soul. It’s who you are and how you connect with others.  Everything else falls into marketing—logo, color etc.

When we speak from the place of who we are, not what we do- we make a better connect with people.

People buy from people. It starts with you first-what is that contribution? Second what are you offering and how will help others? Third, how do I do business with you-store, online etc.  

Key point—have the person get to know you, before trying to sell them anything.

Start conversation that doesn’t relate to business. Could say-I feel a connections to you.

Uncover your brand by uncovering who you are-like a bottle of shampoo. How do you look? What’s on the inside? What makes you unique?
